I became the EWLS VP in 2014. I fell into enjoying the sport of caving after over 14 years of rock climbing and even running a Bremerton, WA rock climbing gym in 2002 called Vertical World. I regularly enjoy caving as a family sport. I co-lead trips with my wife for new cavers and children. Outside of caving and rock climbing, I enjoy hiking, photography, and singing/song writing.
Some of the things I am particularly proud of are my accomplishments in business. In 2013, I completed a BA in Business Administration and a minor in HR after a long, successful history in recruiting and HR. I have always held a 94-100% retention rate in all HR positions and in 2004 I was awarded Recruiting District Seattle Recruiter of the Year award.
A few years ago, I owned a very successful security company that provided safety for over 45 apartment communities, There I managed all training, recruiting, and HR responsibilities while also performing advertiseing and customer service tasks.
As the EWLS VP, I help with all the ins-and-outs of event planing, editing of our annual publication, and managing our financial obligations. Most of all, I support women in caving and speleological science careers.
